Program

1. Application Phase (1 week):

  • Launch the program application on the NPO website.
  • Collect essential details from applicants, including their interests and resume
    highlights
  • Use specific criteria to review and accept/reject applications.
  • Create user profiles and chat rooms on the website for networking and
    communication

2. Networking and Mentoring (2-3 weeks):

  • Organize a networking event or webinar to connect mentors (IT veterans) and
    mentees (members)
  • Designate mentors to manage small group chats for ongoing support and Q&A.
  • Foster engagement and relationship-building within mentor-mentee groups.

3. Educational Classes (2-3 months):

  • Guide members to sign up for online classes or certification training.
  • Provide access to relevant courses, ensuring members gain industry-specific
  • Monitor members’ progress and provide additional resources as needed.

4. Resume Workshop (1-2 weeks)

  • Host a networking event or webinar focusing on resume building.
  • Provide guidance on creating effective resumes tailored to specific IT fields.
  • Offer support in highlighting skills and experience.

5. Reward and Recognition Event (1 day):

  • Celebrate members’ achievements with an event or “party.”
  • Distribute rewards such as Rocketbook, book on personal finance, and TIBI
    merchandise.
  • Facilitate networking and socializing among mentors and mentees.

6. Interview Workshop (1-2 weeks)

  • Arrange an interview workshop with HR professionals and managers.
  • Offer guidance on interview preparation, communication, and presenting skills.
  • Conduct mock interviews to enhance confidence.

7. Networking with Hiring Partners (1-3 weeks):

  • Coordinate networking events with company managers and temp agencies.
  • Provide opportunities for members to interact with potential employers.
  • Enable participants to explore job opportunities and connect with workforce
    providers

8. Program Completion and Evaluation:

  • Graduation and completion of the 6-month program.
  • Gather feedback from participants to assess the effectiveness of each phase.
  • Analyze the program’s overall impact and identify areas for improvement.
